How I would like to rank cities around the world
In my global ranking of cities this is what I would consider as most important.
First the weather. To me weather is important for many reasons - walks, sports, parks. But what is good weather? Key variables are: # of days with high below 10C. # of days with high above 32C. # of days with over 6 hours of sunshine weather.
The environment. Probably a ratio of trees per person would tell a lot.
Crime rate. City should be safe.
Food choice and quality.
City vibrancy. How do you measure that? Culture? Night life?
Friendliness of locals to you moving there.
Ability to comunicate with the locals. In my case a city whose locals dont speak any of the 5 languages I understand is a negative.
Friendliness towards cyclists.
WiFi and overall internet connectivity.
What else?
